WP Symposium Pro 16.01 Critical Update

Welcome to 2016! To welcome the new year, a critical update has been released. So, please don’t skip this one as although it’s small it addresses a potential security exploit.

A couple of small additions are included that were ready for the next release.

Core WP Symposium Pro plugin

Available from the WordPress repository

If you would prefer users to not have the ability to make posts “sticky”, you can set this feature for administrators only via Dashboard->Setup->Forums.

The same as above, but with activity posts. Set to admin only via Dashboard->Setup->Profile Page.

Finally, requests were made to automatically delete successfully sent alerts (sort of automatic housekeeping). This is an option that can be switched on via Dashboard->Setup->Alerts.

WP Symposium Pro Extensions

Available from www.wpsymposiumpro.com

Nothing to see here…

As this was primarily a security update to the core plugin, there is nothing new for the extensions plugin, but the version number is increased to stay in line.
